Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen with my mom - measuring, mixing, sneaking bites of dough, and learning that the best things usually take a little extra time.
My mom is an incredible baker, and without my even realizing it, she set the bar high. Ingredients mattered. Shortcuts weren’t really a thing. And everything that came out of the oven had a way of pulling people in.
I carried that with me, even as life moved into boardrooms, deadlines, and years in corporate America. Baking was always there in the background, equal parts stress relief and creative outlet.
Over the years I realized cookies out in the world started to feel… a little forgettable.
Too many tasted the same. A little too perfect. A little too shelf stable. Too gooey, Not gooey enough. Like they were made to sit, not to draw you in. Ingredients got cheaper, processes got faster, and that homemade magic, the kind you can’t fake, started to disappear.
That’s when I decided to start Magnetic Bakery; to put myself and my baking out into the world, so everyone could experience what I had been lucky enough to share in my own kitchen. A home bakery built on the idea that truly great cookies don’t just taste good, they pull you back. No shortcuts, no compromises, just pure, irresistible enjoyment.
